Project meeting in Bulgaria

In the period 29 March - 5 april 2012 we had our project meeting in Bulgaria.

The objective of the 5th meeting was to evaluate the end products made this school year and plan the meeting in Poland, in May 2012.
We were met by some students with bread and spices, according to the Bulgarian hospitality tradition (which is similar to the Romanian one).

Mr. Ganchev, the school headmaster welcomed us to his office:

We had our work sessions at school:

The Romanian team has presented the Optional course – Origami -  the Workshop of imagination, which was selected by the commission at the regional level of the contest Made for Europe to represent us in the National level of the contest. Dan Cont, the Romanian student, will represent us in the contest. They also presented the activity they made to celebrate 100 days of school in the school year 2011-2012 and some origami objects made by the students for celebrating Easter.

The Polish team has presented the Calendar made by the partners within the project and some other end products including “What to do with a shoe?” - a guide for foreigners visiting homes abroad made collectively by all the partners, an album about Polish superstitions prepared by Polish students, a Power Point presentation in English version for all the partners aiming at disseminating the project, “Pola from Poland”- a book of Polish traditions.

project, “Pola from Poland”- a book of Polish traditions.
The Lithuanian team has presented the e-cuisine book with the recipes gathered by all the partner countries, a photo album from the meeting in Lithuania and a calendar with traditional Lithuanian costumes. Also, they have prepared a video about Lithuania, which was presented at the meeting.

All the materials are of top quality
The Polish team has brought us the invitations for the meeting in Poland and we discussed some details about this.
The Bulgarian team has prepared a very interesting and rich program for the meeting.

We visited the school, which is very well equipped and the managing team do a very good job, considering the large number of students and teaching staff. We saw the Chinese and Japanese language labs, some students during different classes (History, Arts, Technology, foreign languages, etc.).

We met with the Mayor of the city

We were presented a very nice show made by the students from the partner school.

We visited some museums in Ruse: the Pantheon of National Revival Heroes, the Historical Museum, the Urban Lifestyle of Ruse Museum, the Keros ceramics factory.

We also went on some documentary trips to Tsaravets stronghold and the Samovodska Charsia in Veliko Tarnovo, to Dryanovo Monastery, to the House of Humour and Satire in the town of Gabrovo, the Daskalov House in Tryavna, the Etar Architectural – Ethnographic Complex, the Kaloyanova Fortress in Arbanasi, the Basarbovo Monastery, the Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo and the Cherven stronghold – UNESCO protected sites.

We discovered a lot of Bulgarian treasures: the Bulgarian traditional food, drinks, music and dances, ethnographic treasures, and also their hospitality and joy in receiving guests. We made new friends and renewed our old friendship.

We had a lot of fun together and our friendship has strengthened. Both students and teachers have enjoyed the visit to Bulgaria.
We thank our Bulgarian hosts: headmasters, teachers, students and parents for the lovely welcome and the wonderful program they prepared for us. :)
We are waiting forward to meet again in Poland.
